On this course you’ll learn about the most common methodologies, their strengths and weaknesses, and how to apply them to your projects.

This course is designed to help business stakeholders and IT teams:

• Understand the role of methodologies on a project.
• Gain knowledge of additional actions that are key to successful delivery regardless of methodology used.
• Recognise that there is not a single best methodology for all projects.
• Know when hybrid methodology may be the key to success. 

This course covers the key principles of IT methodologies and dispels some myths that contribute to project failures.

It is taught by a Pathway IT expert with over 30 years’ experience delivering projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Course objectives 

The course aims to help you:

• Understand the strengths and weaknesses of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Develop knowledge that will allow you to select the correct methodology for a given project and enhance the methodology as required.
• Understand the Agile Manifesto.
• Identify and implement additional activities to ensure successful project delivery regardless of the methodology used.
• Gain the knowledge to allow you to debate constructively with methodology purists. There is no single best methodology for all projects.
